| Question: | I have problem with the windows client 1.4.1.
I can't connect though it. The web is ok : i can connect and upload and download files.
I have installed and successfully ran and uploaded several files on my ubuntu 12.04 LTS server.
My owncloud was installed on the official ubuntu repository and is up to date.

| | Answer: | I have solved it :
the version of owncloud was 3.0.0 on the official repository for ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
I've just followed the instructions of this page : http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=isv:ownCloud:community&package=owncloud
For xUbuntu 12.04 run the following as root:
echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:community/xUbuntu_12.04/ /' >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/owncloud.list
apt-get update
apt-get install owncloud
You can add the repository key to apt like this:
wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:community/xUbuntu_12.04/Release.key
apt-key add - < Release.key
