Desktop Screenshots

Politics
Description:

Yeah, this is a group where I thought we could post
screenshots of our desktops. Why? well, I like looking
at other ppl's desktops and configurations, they give me
Ideas I can't possibly have with my current IQ.

So please! if you have a very nice desktop, don't be shy,
put it up here!

please use bbcode when u post, makes it easier for
other users to view ur screenshot, just put "[url]" in
front of the link and "[/url]" after... then it will look
like this http://www.link.to.ur.amazing.screenshot.html
Thank u for ur consideration!

services one can use to upload pics and then share the link:

You think you have a killer desktop? prove it! :D

Black Diamond theme. I've been working on an icon set too, but it is taking forever...

 My desktops, desktop screenshot :)

Admittedly my main desktop's running Windows, but I couldn't see it saying that didn't mean I could post a screenshot of Windows. My other computers are running Linux (though my netbook's the only one I've customised the theming of to any extent) so I might upload a screenshot of one of them at some point...

I tend to avoid white backed wallpapers but in this case I made an exception because I made this one~ :D

My computer's running on three monitors, the left one being a bit smaller than the other two, which are identical sizes.

hey it's not TOTALLY white. And 3 monitors? We'll let the so-called white slide; the pattern you have on it means it can be used in a dark room/basement :)

Only in it for the eye-candy. What's *your* excuse?

My room's usually pretty well lit, and I'm admittedly a little unsure what the pattern has to do with the room lighting to be honest. Explain? :o

When you have to work late at night, lights off or dimmed, the screen brightness can cause eyestrain because the brightness by a white screen or desktop is not ideal (notice how far it can reach if you're not sitting in front of the screen)for extended staring. This is usually a warning in the handbook when you purchase a new monitor (CRT, I don't know about new LCD or plasma). I hope that explains it

Ah, okay.
I haven't had any of those handbooks, all my monitors have been second hand. I've changed it back to darker wallpapers now though, so much nicer~ :)
