Theme requests

Description:

This group is for requesting a new theme, and in particular, NEW kinds of themes, not just the same old stuff.

This group is also for artists with a need for ideas, like me ;D

I will try to answer as many requests as I can, but I will not be able to do all of them, at least until more artists join.

Right now I only can do Emerald themes, unless some one else would like to do metacity. I also will not make GTK themes, because of how much work they are, in addition to icon themes. For window borders only until someone would like to do gtk or icon themes.

A mock-up would be nice, but please at least give some sort of sketch to show what you want.

THIS IS NOT A HELP GROUP!!!

Just copy a well commented Murrine theme (like Human) and fool around.

yeah, it's kind of hard to use xmls to draw the windows, but I use this metacity-themer and then it is easy, because you see what you are doing as you change things

I don't know if it supports murrine, but it's worth a try

It only edits, themes, so you have to have an installed theme, and then goto home/[yourusername]/.themes and select the theme's folder

Glad that you like it :)

But as it's name implies it only edits Metacity themes not gtk themes. For that you might want to try my other application, The Widget Laboratory: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/The+Widget+Laboratory?content=119773

You don't actually edit in it (just use gedit or your favorite text editor) but it does show you what your changes do instantly.

my friend had an idea, and i'm trying to do it, but i have a problem.
can you make the title bar tile your image? i want a pattern, but when i applied it, it just stretched it a lot.

thanks. i noticed that u missed the maximize part, but i fixed it. yeah, maybe reading tutorials and stuff would help ;-)
my original one had no stripes, but he wanted stripes. anyway, it's kind of hard on the eyes, but maybe more smooth yellow and orange in the gtk would help. i need to work on the buttons, too.

Hi, I need a theme!

I have Archlinux, kde 4.4 (KWin).I actually use Oxygen and the elegance theme (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Elegance?content=78034). I'd like a theme that resembles James White's Google Chrome theme (https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/ig/themes/theme_at_jameswhite.html), exspecialy the buttons and the colour scheme. Apart from this, I dont't really know what to request: i'm fairly a noob with themes. Bespin? Aurorae? GTK? What? :P

My desktop actually looks like this:
