Changelog:

ATTENTION BIG CHANGES

The biggest change in this release is how you compile / execute the program. These changes have been made to end a number of bugs attributed to improper installation files used by the application.

So after get the source and unpack ... run in console:

qmake or qmake-qt4 2ManDVD.pro 2ManDVD.pro (on fedora)
make

and finally:

sudo make install

And I stress the make install (as root)

Then you can start the application from your main menu (kde & gnome tested)

It seem that there is an error in the package ... the 2mandvd_en.qm file is not in the bin directory...

Try with the source compile it yourself or copy the qm file in the /usr/bin directory.

 Chapter creation problem

by poeschi on: Apr 15 2009

Score 50%

Hi,

I successfully compiled version 0.77 without any errors and it runs fine.
Only issue I experience is that I can only create one Chapter by pressing the button for a movie. The the film starts, but I cannot scroll forward. I would have to watch the whole movie to create chapters where I want.
And the Auto Chapters button that I always used at ManDVD is greyed out and cannot be used.
Any idea?

Thanks and best regards,
Poeschi

Hi Stephane,

the chapter creation problem has appeared again. The automatic creation of chapters is simply disabled (buttons are greyed out). Only the top button for adding a chapter "Kapitel hinzufügen" and the bottom button to close the chapter creation "Kapitelerstellung schließen" are selectable.
And when scrolling in the movie preview, the yellow position indicator does not move to the right.
Any idea?

Best regards,
Poeschi

Um...

How do I switch the language in 2ManDVD?

I do have a file called '2mandvd_de.qm' in /usr/share/2ManDVD, yet I can't find a way to use it in german. Do I miss something?

Yes I googled... Sorry for being so ignorant... :(

 Feature list & Eng. Transltn.

cslib,
Just tried 2ManDVD. But I could not use the program as the english translation appears to be partial - Some menu, text and labels still appear in French. Is the english translation complete? Or is it just me having this problem. I wish I could help with the translation but I can't understand French.

I installed in Arch from http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23975

Also it would be nice, it you could put together a list of features it has.

i would like to help in translations (my native language is Spanish, and have checked that Spanish translation don't exists) but have edited 2mandvd_en.qm file and don't understand your structure.

any information or translation howto (best option) would be welcome to collaborate in your awesome application.

best regards

Hi Stéphane

Strange, but on my system i cannot see the text in the buttons on the left top side of the main screen. I made a screenshot and uploaded it here on my site:

http://www.medialinux.de/files/2mandvd.png

It looks like the text is too big for the buttons. Any idea how to solve this ?

Dieter, mediaDS

Hi

Yes, i do use the Oxygene default style. Unfortunately 2ManDVD is the only software with this cosmetic bug. Do you have any idea how to fix this or what causes it ?

I will test it with some of my other styles and themes.

Thank you and have a nice weekend

Dieter, mediaDS

 Can't compile

I get

WARNING: Found potential symbol conflict of mainfrm.cpp (mainfrm.cpp) in SOURCES
WARNING: Found potential symbol conflict of mainfrm.h (mainfrm.h) in HEADERS

Probably doesn't matter because I wouldn't know how to troubleshoot that anyway.

Cheers

Yes I do, according to apt;

:~$ sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
qt4-dev-tools is already the newest version.

There is only 1 program which provides moc

2 /usr/bin/moc-qt4

Already have that in place

Thanks

If you have a debian-based distro, you can get .deb file from getdeb.net
