Changelog:

ATTENTION BIG CHANGES

The biggest change in this release is how you compile / execute the program. These changes have been made to end a number of bugs attributed to improper installation files used by the application.

So after get the source and unpack ... run in console:

qmake or qmake-qt4 2ManDVD.pro 2ManDVD.pro (on fedora)
make

and finally:

sudo make install

And I stress the make install (as root)

Then you can start the application from your main menu (kde & gnome tested)

1 - Try without adding subtitle to your videos.
2 - After generation you have ad structure like this :

+ Your DVD path
|
|- DVD/GENE/
|
...

In dvd/gene you have a dvdauthor.xml file. Could you display it here ?

 Xorg problem+DVD menu problem

 by gaspare66 on: Apr 10 2009

Hi, I have 2 problems.
1) In thurnbail system and in media search window I don't see icons and buttons. I have debian six with kde 3.5.9 and compiz fusion activate.

2) when I realize DVD on the "result" folder is all ok but at least of working I have a pop-up that shows an "menu error". In the logfile I dont'find the error. It's very long; where I can submit it?

Regards.

For 1 : you don't have ffmpegthumbnailer (look in dependancies). Or ffmpegthumbnailer is not in /usr/bin

For 2 : give me an upload link... I think you should have forget a dep too ...

Hi,
First .... happy Easter.
For 1) I don't explain well the problem:
ffmpegthurnbail works perfectly; only I don't see icons and button for choosing picture and change photos. I go blindly (in lower corner of screen) and imagine where are button. In 0.74 all work perfectly only from 0.75 I have this problem.
For 2) The DVD result works perfectly only I have pop-up that reports an error realizing menu. Can I submit logfile at your email?
Thanks

Gaspare

Hi,
I resumed logfile in sections where I see was an error and where are used ffmpeg and dvdauthor. I hope is useful to understand problem 2 I reported before.
Thanks

 avoid re-encoding

by shubunkin on: Apr 14 2009

Score 50%

Hello and thank you for this very promising application.

I'd like to ask if there is (or will be) a feature to NOT re-encode mpeg video files that are already compatible with the current project.

I.e.: if a video clip is 720×576, 25fps, ac3 audio, in a PAL 2mandvd project, to have the option to just use it to generate the VOB without re-encoding.

Such files are generated by many camcorders. Such feature will help to reduce the processing time plus will not degrade the video quality.

Thank you for your time!

ManDVD doesn't rencode true DVD mpeg files ...
If it do and you are sure that's a good mpeg file give me the result of :

mplayer -identify -frames 1 yorfiles.mpg
