Changelog:

ATTENTION BIG CHANGES

The biggest change in this release is how you compile / execute the program. These changes have been made to end a number of bugs attributed to improper installation files used by the application.

So after get the source and unpack ... run in console:

qmake or qmake-qt4 2ManDVD.pro 2ManDVD.pro (on fedora)
make

and finally:

sudo make install

And I stress the make install (as root)

Then you can start the application from your main menu (kde & gnome tested)

 Edit Overlay

by TanarRi on: Nov 10 2009

Hi,

great programm! i used it the first time and it's very easy to use! work on please.

i stumbled over 2 little problem while i was using 2DVDMan V1.1.1

- if I add a button and select "overlay editieren" i can't edit the overlay. i can't paint on the popup window. t's like i paint black on a black paper.
then i searched the directories and edited with gimp the PNG-File which is the overlay for that button. this worked! NOW, when i am back in 2dvdman i can also modify the overlay in 2dvdman, which a had before editied with gimp... strange!?!?
- if i select a mask for a button which is in the left list of the main window, always the wrong mask is selected. e.g. I select "baloon_0..." wby mouseclick, then "bateau_" is insert - always the next in the row!?!?

please fix these bugs.

greetings

Hi,

For second bug i will try this weekend...
For first it's not a bug... black zones are overlays drawing zone. In the beginning 2ManDVD make overlay zone overall your button, so the drawing zone is fully black... If you want drawing differently, start with using the eraser and you will give back an empty zone ...

Sorry for my poor english

Stéphane

thanks.
today the rubber is working. (last time not)

a suggestions:
is it possible to make a new button in editing the overlay like "clear all".
then I don't have to rubber out the whole overlay by hand.

greetings
eugen

 Compiling

I am a newbie in much of Linux. I tryed to install the 2ManDVD app. according to what it states of compiling:

qmake 2ManDVD.pro

but when I try:

make

I get a message that states

/usr/bin/uic-qt4 mainfrm.ui -o ui_mainfrm.h

make: /usr/bin/uic-qt4: Command not found

make: *** [ui_mainfrm.h] Error 127

I am running this commands from within the /Downloads/2ManDVD folder. When I tried from the main folder it stated that the 2ManDVD.pro file could not be found. Please help, I would much like to try your application. Thank you.

I am sorry for not understanding Linux to the extend of installing applications; but, I checked all for all the required applications in SPM and all seem to be installed (except for mkisofs, tried to find but everywhere I search are dead links or apps will not download.). One thing I install for QT4 in SPM solved the error I was getting when I ran the make command. I ran from the /2ManDVD$ folder: make distclean then I started again.
qmake 2ManDVD.pro
make

After a while of compiling and no errors that I can see, the prompt comes back.

When I check Main Menu>Sound & Video, I can not find 2ManDVD.

2ManDVD is not installed...
Find the folder 2ManDVD in your home with konqueror or nautilus or okular; where you extract the software and where you have compiled the same software and then open terminal (F4 on kde) and write:
Quote:
./2ManDVD

If you want, you can open terminal in ever position and digit the path of 2ManDVD folder before the command ./ManDVD.
I hope was clear.
Hi.

Thank you gaspare66. So I guess that after csgib had me check the whole installation of QT4 and the initial error was solved, the app was installing but because their was no "icon" for it; I could not see it. Thanks a mil.

If you want. May be to create a voice in your kde menu.
Type the right mouse button on kde menu icon, choose "editor menu" and then create the command where you prefer; multimedia for example, add new voice. Remember the path of "2ManDVD" and specify command in "terminal".
An example in link below.

Hi, Gaspare.
P.S. Excuse my terrible english ....

Hi,

recently I started my first small DVD-project with 2ManDVD . Containing only one main-menu with two buttons to start two short clips.
When starting the ISO-creation 2ManDVD posts a message this has be done successfully,
BUT the ISO-file has 0 bytes !
Any ideas ?

Could you preview the result of your dvd... if no there is a problem when generating project... give the logfile here... it is in your project directory. If you can preview it and using ubuntu i know there is a problem with the tool for generating iso.

Salut,
and thanks for your quick response !
so I checked for the logfile and found this one : logiso.txt
"I: -input-charset not specified, using utf-8 (detected in locale settings)
genisoimage: Argument list too long. Failed to read VIDEO_TS.IFO"

Concering the preview : No, i can't !

I'm using SUSE and not ubuntu, but that's probably not relevant for this issue.
And ideas ?

 2ManDVD not saving

by holysword on: Jan 12 2010

Score 50%

Hi
I am using Gentoo Linux, and I compiled and installed 2mandvd without error messages.

The problem is that when I try to save anything, it does not save - without error messages again. I checked console output when this error occurs and there is nothing. It says that the project is saved, but just there isn't any file.

Can anyone give me any advice?
Thanks in advance

 imate too tight

man this is definitely a great app with great look! I was searching for an alternative for convertxtodvd untill I found your 2mandvd! I have to say that this is not an alternative to convertxtodvd but convertxtodvd is an alternative to this application if you know what I mean!:D

however I'm having some trouble when I want to create a dvd with a 16:9 original movie! If I choose PAL 16:9 the image will get too tight (the faces get really thin).
isnt there a way you can add an option that will leave the movie with the original image?

best regards!
