Kaffeine is a full featured media player for KDE3. It supports all kinds of local and network media and digital video broadcasting.

Freeze when open URL

I've just used this version and it works fine. But when I tried to open media from url, the url dialog box poped up and freezed the Kaffeine when I typed some characters in it.

Is this a bug?
I use Yoper linux 2.1.0 with KDE 3.3.0 and get precompiled Kaffeine by yoper's apt-get.

I see there's still the crash when changing to 5.1 surround sound in the xine engine parameters, this really needs fixing, it's the reason i havn't been using kaffeine 5.0rcx....

I'm still hunting this bug. It's very difficult to track them down. Normally it only happens in stopped state - and not with the alsa driver - and very rarely with current xine-lib CVS version - and... Really weird.
xine-lib 1rc7 should be released this week. Try an update.

I was waiting for version where configuration is properly restored. Although after a while I kinda aleady got used to the new default interface :)

It's great, but two requests:

Can you add the old "M" button that hid all the toolbars.

Can you add an option to make Kaffeine start up with a blank playlist when opening a file, like Winamp/XMMS and WMP.
