Description:

Migraine is a tool for database migrations to be a little more painless. It allows you to convert a database from one format to another (E.g. From PostgreSQL to MySQL) or to copy a database in the same format to the same or another host.
The link to the tarball below can be slow, I'd recommend you to clone the git source code repository at github.com.
If you want the lastest alpha version, use:

Quote:
git clone git://github.com/kandalf/migraine.git --origin alpha_0_1_2

If you like the development version, use:
Quote:
git clone git://github.com/kandalf/migraine.git

Sorry, I only have the source code now, but I'll add binary files anytime soon, I've been having problems to compile SQL drivers on Windows, but as soon as I can get rid of these issues, I'll upload a windows installer, and probably submit a package for Arch Linux users into the AUR.

BUGS
Please, report bugs or request features at:

You'll need to register first, but it's a simple and fast process with only a few fields to fill.

 Terrible

I can't imagine anyone who has had migraines would name their application after the malady. Perhaps I am wrong. You may have written an awesome application, but I have to tell you the name is a terrible idea (IMO only). I've had migraines before that were so bad I wanted to kill myself. Naming your application after something like that can't be helpful to your chances of success.

What would you think of a file manager called Polio File Manager? How about Influenza Image Viewer? AIDS CD Burner?

It's just an ironic name, don't give it more importance that it has. I'm not selling this software, so chances of success are tied with the ability to perform the tasks it was made for and to make your work painless, the name... well... is not that important. If you don't like it, alias is your friend.

I've asked my friends, who suffer from migraines, if they found this insulting, they didn't. Infact they thought it was funny because it IS a migraine to migrate dbases.

:) That's the whole point of the name, I just played around with words.
