Description:

This 16:10 GDM Theme is a mash up of other peoples work.

I like and use the Ubuntu Dust Theme

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/DustTheme

Interesting wallpaper from lucast

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Dark+Wood+Linux?content=87592

is only bettered by his own original wallpaper without logo, found at

http://zygat3r.deviantart.com/art/Dark-Wood-58266349

I used code from GDM Theme (by bbpp)

http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Quantum+of+Solace?content=92706

I changed the background image, made icons greyscale, moved the clock
and generally played about with the code until I was happy.

Please enjoy this GDM theme that I hereby name as "Dusty".

I had been using that very background for my desktop and when I saw this it was a perfect match. Good work.

Thanks you.

In Ubuntu 9.04 go
System
Administration
Login Window

select the Local tab

drag and drop the downloaded file onto the window.

Select Dusty from the list

That is it.

Do not try to uncompress the downloaded file, just drop it in as it is.

You do know that this is a GDM theme don't you?

That is the screen that you log in from.

If you want the full Dust experience in ubuntu 9.04.... It is a theme supplied with 9.04

then select Dust from
System
Preferences
Appearance
Theme tab
DUST

You can get the wallpaper from the links above.

Its the login manager. It is the program that asks you for your username and password.
