 Radio Bob

by Flintheart on: Mar 6 2011

Score 50%

Radio Bob has seemingly changed its stream.
The stream in „Radio Germany“ doesn't seem to work anymore, while this one from the station's homepage does:

 WDR2, 1Live streams not workin

by flows on: May 7 2011

Hey,

WDR2 and 1Live streams do not work. If I try to add them to the playlist, they simply do not appear there. Sub-stations like 1live diggi or WDR2 Münster work fine, though.

Kubuntu 11.04

I feared that ;)

It's version 0.32 using amarok 2.4.0, gstreamer backend as default with Ubuntu 11.04. This issue isn't that new, I also had it with Ubuntu 10.10/ amarok 2.3.2 (just forgot to report).

I'm having the same problem. "1LIVE" is not working at all. The other "1live" (e.g. "1live diggi") streams seem to work just fine. Kubuntu 11-04, KDE 4.6.3, Amarok 2.4.1. gstreamer and xine backend tested. No change. 1LIVE won't start at all. I can't even add this stream to the playlist.

Any ideas what's going wrong here? Anything I could/should test?

Thanks!

Hi,

i am running KDE 4.3.4 and Amarok 2.2.1 with xine as backend. Script version is 0.32. Stream works fine for me, but it takes quite some time till it starts.

the script currently uses the asx stream, but i will switch to the mp3 stream with the next version. hope that resolves your problem. what happens if you try to play the stream with vlc using the following commands ?

vlc http://www.wdr.de/wdrlive/media/einslive.asx

vlc http://www.wdr.de/wdrlive/media/einslive.m3u

cheers,
andy

The *.m3u stream works for me in Amarok! Thanks.

Both streams (asx and m3u) work fine here with vlc and xine. Seems that only Amarok has problems with the asx stream.

Thanks,
Stefan

since 1. Januar 2011 ffn Rock, ffn Live ffn 80ies aren't streamed anymore.

And since your last update peppermint.fm seams to be missing.

Thanks!

Ines

Hello Ines,

thanks for the hint. I will remove the discontinued streams and add peppermint.fm. That one most likely got lost with the big stream merge that happend with 0.30. I will try to release a new version at the weekend.

cheers,
Andy

 Not-Working Streams

Special Tip for all Kubuntu-Users of the actual version "Natty": Kubuntu has changed the sound backend for Phonon from "Xine" to "GStreamer". I remarked for myself that GStreamer doesn't work fine together with Phonon, the KDE sound system. So make sure that in amarok's settings "Xine" is chosen as the default backend.
