Plasma Theme

Description:

Plasma revealed.

This theme features blank borders and backgrounds, to give plasmoids a more "embedded" feel- rather than making them look like a second system of windows.

This was originally to be a theme with just blank widgets and notes, so that users could swap in the rest- the taskbar, dialogs, clock, etc- from their theme of choice. I still encourage this, but for those that want to use it, I've created a light-as-feathers theme around the idea of naked Plasma.

Not all elements are implemented, and others haven't been changed from the theme, Glaze, that I duplicated to start from. They will be done soon. In the meantime, either enjoy the theme as is or just swap in theme you like best alongside Naked's naked widgets.

Nimbus Sans recommended to complete the look.

Changelog:

- 0.1: Widgets, translucent widgets, panel, dialogs, krunner, shutdown

To do:
- Icon buttons, analog clock, pager, tooltips, extenders
- Opaque theme
- Shutdown dialog incomplete

Just a few questions.

1. What wallpaper is that?
2. In your third screenshot you showcase another plasma theme? I like the look of that one very much and I would really like to obtain it.

The background is from www.digitalblasphemy.com. Highly recommended. It's a pay site, but the prices are very reasonable, and it's worth every penny. I joined because it's the only place to find classy double- or triple-monitor background images. It's a one man show and guy runs the site full-time, so it's worth supporting if you like that background or others that you'll find on the site.

The swapped-in taskbar is from Elegance: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Elegance?content=78034
I like the taskbar but the widgets themselves have a thick border around them and are completely opaque. If you want to achieve what's in the 3rd screenshot, install Elegance and use the "desktop details" option. If you aren't running KDE SVN that option won't be available, and you'll have to copy the widgets/panel-background.svg, widgets/tasks.svg and dialogs/background.svg files from Elegance into Naked.

Thanx, great theme! Will it be possible to make the panels totally transparent?

I might make a configuration tool later on for panel opacity and for choosing a light or dark panel, but I'm going to concentrate on making the theme work fully under 4.2 first. In the meantime, making the panel transparent manually would be an easy change with inkscape.
