 Back icon

by cmf on: Dec 9 2003

Score 50%

One thing i really loved about the Crystal SVG Beta1 set was the fact that the back icon was green, whereas teh rest where blue, from what i can gather, this was an aciident, but IMHO, a very brilliant accident, as it (at least for me) improved usability so much, it broke up the 5 icons in a row which where round and blue, and helped to differntiaite between them all.

So basically what i'm asking is if a Green backwards can be included (or even better made default ;) )

8) Allready there but in the preview i only showed the default icons else i would have had 3 versions of reload buttons and 3 versions of search icons, and,and,and.... =)

Hope you understand, but when the first release of the whole pack is finished
you'l find your green one directly where you want it.

greetz and peace

 Too faded

Many of the new icons have an exagerated fade effect. I don't like it.

It is also pretty bad for accessibility issues. People with certain eyesight limitations will have problems with those for sure.

You're working quite fast :)
Great job overall

fade effect? hmm i guess you mean the action icons ? please tell me excaclty what you mean.
The icons i dont like myself are the upward, 2upward, left, 2left icons.
Too shiny and too crowded.I have to change them or make new ones.

but it interests me what and which ones you mean excactly =/

thx for that please write back

The disapearing effect that you have usually on the bottom of many icons.

See 2nd preview screenhot, 2 last rows, all of the icons (except maybe for console).

but to me it's just another variation of Crystal.

What I really would like to see, would be an icon set, that uses a minimum amount of colors, like the icons seen on this screenshot: http://tokyo.cored.org/gallery/preview/codeblue_preview.png.

...my wife complained that I do not pay attention...or something like that...

hmmm.... i did not intend to make it in any way similiar to the crystal icon set i realy wanted to bring over the icon style i first started on my homepage when i didnt even know that crystal existed but if you think so i'l have to accept that
=(

maybe you'l change your mind when you see the finished package on your KDE.
[ If you even download it =) ]

It would be nice if you could include a throbber for konq that fits with the icon style.

 Home Icon

I think this set would look good with the Grover WinDec (with the clear plastic option) -- very nice.

My only criticism is that I personally don't like the Home Dir icon -- nice igloo, but just not my style. Over all, I think it's pretty slick and I really like it. I might suggest using your Sparkling K-logo for the KMenu instead of a K-inside-a-gear since it's more unique.

:)
