GTK 2.x Theme/Style

Description:

This clearlooks theme (using pixmaps for the new panel when it became apparent that the other one was ugly) modeled after the colours of murrine symphonic shoots to be a pleasant blend between the extremes of blue and orange I am always changing by desktop back and forth between, giving a very simple, smooth, usable theme. The package contains:
+ 1 GTK theme
+ 1 background image
+ 5 network icons (one theme - you need 5 to make the whole set of 25%, 50%, etc.)
+ 1 old panel background
+ 1 modified menu button*
+ 2 metacity themes
Keep in mind that this does not include the DISCOVERY icon theme! Find it here:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Discovery+Icon+Theme?content=69950

*To "Install" the menu button image, open "gconf-editor", go into "apps", "panel" and then "objects". Find the one that looks like it's got something to do with a "Main menu" and then turn on the "custom icon" key and enter the path to the image in the appropriate field. I'm working on a simple script to assist in this for the next release.

PS: Let me make this very clear - I had no part in the making of the Inverted and Glossy metacity themes, and claim NO ownership of them. I am simply redistributing them. The people to be credited with creation should be listed in the XML files. I have not changed these themes at all.

I like it. What icon set do you use and what font are you using for conky?

Thanks.

I use the Discovery Icon theme as mentioned in the description
(http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Discovery+Icon+Theme?content=69950)
and for conky, it's not from this site, but "microN56" (size 6 - it's bitmap so anything but 6 or multiples (12, etc) look blurry just FYI)

Inverted (and Glossy) are metacity themes included with Ubuntu. I think I can include them in the package if I specify they are not mine. Correct me people if I am wrong!

Oh, wow your right...
you know what happened? I know exactly what went on... I made the new package, uploaded it, and then it lost it and kept using the old one... stupid - it usually has this problem with screenshots, but I've never seen it with packages before!

 Doesn't drag into preferences

Is there a way to make it so I can just click and drag? I got the GTK installed, that was easy enough but the wireless icons...wtf :)

This actually does look quite professional. You should do some variations on this, maybe do the same glossiness with like a blue, or a slightly darker orange.

Sorry, I've been away for a while

yea, in the package there should be some small png's, they go inside /usr/share/icons/<icon theme>/<icon size*>/status
(*probably 22x22 or 24x24)

There should be a set of icons that look like the ones you have now, so just replace them (save them first if you want though ;))
