Description:

I hijacked another theme to create this one for my wife who liked the look of XP but wanted to try Ubuntu. I thought someone else might like it also.Enjoy!




Changelog:

I added two different start buttons in addition to the original "windows" start button. Now you can choose from a Linux penguin or an Ubuntu start button

I like this one a lot. The GnomeXP icon theme (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/GnomeXP?content=69587) goes perfectly with this theme as well as this GDM theme (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/XP+Login+GDM?content=63383), this Splash Screen (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/XP+Ubuntu+Splash?content=63163) and this Start Button (The Green one) (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Ubuntu+Start+Buttons?content=41623)

P.S.

Its also easy enough to rename the desktop icons from Computer to My Computer, (users) Home to My Documents, and Trash to Recycle Bin as well to get the full effect.

there is a problem with the right-click submenu in firefox (it's all black.) this theme looks cool eventho I dislike winblows. very good job!

Are you using the default firefox theme? If you have chosen a new theme for firefox and now you can’t see the toolbar or menu fonts at all.

Well what has happened is the system font color is the same color as your firefox theme color ( let’s say your font is black and the toolbar is also black)

To correct this you will need to create the userChrome.css file

Open Places>Home Folder

In the toolbar click view and then show hidden files

open .mozilla>firefox>(the default folder)>chrome

right-click userChrome-example.css and select open with “text editor”

add this code to the bottom of the page

menubar, menubutton, menu, menuitem, menupopup, popup >
* {
color: white !important;
}

Save this file as userChrome.css in the chrome folder

The next time you open Firefox your font will be white

This is great! ur abs rite, such themes will make migration from Windows to Linux much easier! the fact that u did that so that ur better half can get used to Linux is so sweet! Rated gud mate! Xcellent!
