Description:

Heres a snapshot of Slick 1.5. The version in kdeartwork will be more up to date generally though.

It's the best icon set I've used for KDE. Most importnantly, it's professional looking.

I thought 0.12 was good. This is just downright fantastic!

Long have I searched in vain for professional, polished, finished, decent photo-realistic icons for KDE - until now!

At least KDE could ship with more than one icon theme... Having this theme and iKons as options in the control center would be nice.

KDE 3.0 will ship with alternative Iconthemes. "Slick" will be one of them.
We will only ship iconthemes with KDE 3.0 which don't have any known copyright-issues.
The default-icon-theme for KDE 3.0 will be "hicolor". Hopefully some of the icons from other iconsets will continue to replace/influence/improve those from "hicolor".

that you made some icons for non-KDE apps as well. VMware, Q3, UT. Fact is that also KDE-desktop-users (like me) also use some non-KDE-apps like XawTV, Gimp and xmms and having some icons that go along with the DE is very nice. You also replaced some ugly kde-icons like kreatecd.png (that default icon looks really ugly) Also I think package_games.png in Slick Icons is much nicer looking than the defualt KDE icon. Nice icons .. thank you -- Fab
