How did you get the dock at the bottom i have tried numerous time to get it, but none of the tutorials i have used ever worked

i use avant-window-navigator for my dock, much more customization imo. you can also use cairo-dock, but it's more complicated to use and customize. just opinion tho.

The main three are: avant-window-navigator (awn, the most popular and stable), kiba-dock (a little buggy, looks nice and has a physics engine) and cairo-dock (just started using it myself, quite impressed).

All three can replicate OS X Leopard's 3D dock.
