Updated:  Mar 7 2008

Description:

UPDATE: NOW IT'S THE WHOLE PACK ;)

I needed some minimal theme, with easy colors, but yet with nice bevels. I was unable to find one, so I made this.

Included:
- GTK+ Theme
- Metacity Theme
- Icons (modified Mist/Tango theme)

How-to install:

Unzip the file, then drag 'n drop the individual files (Si-theme and Si-icons) to GNOME theme manager.

OR

Unpack the individual files (Si-theme and Si-icons) to ~/.themes and ~/.icons , respectively.

*** Requires Aurora GTK Engine 1.2 ***

Have fun.

Changelog:

- Turned it into a pack
- Small fix
- Another small fix to Evolution

 Greate Theme

Looks very good / professorial. I get sick of all the gaudy crap that you see most of the time but this is very polished. Love it and am using it now.

Thanks for the constructive comment. I'm really aiming at a more polished look, so I guess I got it right now. Also, the widgets on the Aurora engine are really great and contributes to the look.

 Clearlooks port?

Could you change aurora deps to the latest clearlooks Gummy?

Or please just add the port.

When porting remember you can disable scrollbar colorization with colorize_Scrollbar = FALSE.

THANKS!!!

Because I noticed that you asked the same question in the Caramello theme

The results of that port where only mediocre Nothing against the developer but I just believe that the tones in the shading are different from one engine to another. It creates a more bland flat look that is not as appealing as the original.

not true, shadings are very similar and mostly unnoticeable.

If a theme looks different in shadings between those two engines maybe something is wrong in the gtkrc.

I stand corrected

I just ported the theme myself and cant tell the difference except the button sizes are slightly different, and I'm sure that can be fixed.

If the creator want the gtkrc just let me know, although I really didn't change anything.

I've done the theme to work out with the Aurora engine, in specific. I don't think it looks good on Clearlooks engine, and Clearlooks widgets don't fullfil my taste at all.

You're free to get my gtkrc and mod it to Clearlooks, isn't hard to do. But I'm not going to make this myself.

 SI Pack & ports

Nice theme, i'm going to try it!

(For the caramello-port-discussion i can say that these engines fit different needs, so ports cannot be equal in my opinion... but a port is anyway an option, so why not? Cimi any suggestions for the gtkrc?) :)

You are a shiny and beautiful soul. May Gawd bless you if you believe in any, may your days be short and numerous, endless and fun.
You're so much better of a person then you can possibly deny. I'd love to buy you a beer.
Thank you.
