KubPPPoEGui is a little script kommander for start and stop pppoeconf internet connection.

Install KubPPPoEGui , open konsole terminal and type:

- sudo apt-get install kommander
- wget http://kubpppoegui.googlecode.com/files/kubpppoegui-1.0.05_i386-en.deb
- sudo dpkg -i kubpppoegui-1.0.05_i386-en.deb

Start by Menu-K - Internet - KubPPPoEGui

or.. execute command: kmdr-executor kubpppoegui

how it works?

I install the program.The process was flawless.The launcher was installed under internet applications.When I click on the launcher icon nothing happen.
I work usually on ubuntu Gnome but I have the KDE-desktop installed as well, and the kubpppoegui installation was done under KDE environment(I saw that it doesn't matter if I do the installation under gnome or under kde).

KubPPPoEGui is a Kde application and requires Kommander to function. I did not test under Gnome. Installed the Kommander application?

Thank you for you advice.But I said that I have KDE as well.This was not the problem.
I finally make it work (in gnome as well--it is your program you should be proud).
My great mistake was that I do not have previously install kommander.After I do that all came in to place except the program icon itself.I found the launcher under /usr/share/applnk/Internet and drag him on the upper panel and to my surprise just works.

this script doesn't work because simply doing poff dsl-provider doesn't work on my comp. I need to execute the pon and poff commands with sudo. Is there a workaround for this?

I do not have this problem, but, open terminal konsole and try this:
kdesu kmdr-executor /usr/bin/kubpppoegui.kmdr
(replace kdesu by sudo at your choice)

Open terminal Konsole and to give full rights to pon and poff:
sudo chmod a+x /usr/bin/pon
sudo chmod a+x /usr/bin/poff
and retry

i want to know how to execute pon and poff without su. there has to be some method.

and reboot kde session.

distro: kubuntu 7.04
