Description:

Locate GUI Frontend
Instantly find files on your computer.
Results are returned in about 1 second.

If a file has recently been added to the system you should update the database (you will be prompted for the root password). Cron may already be setup on your computer to run updatedb every night. If not you may want to add it.

For more info on the linux locate command type man locate in konsole.

Extract to any dir of your choice. Your home dir might be a good suggestion.
Then create a link (shortcut) on the kicker or on the desktop or even in the Kmenu. Or you can simply click on the file in the location you have extracted it to.

Do you have kommander installed?

kommander MUST be installed to use kommander scripts. After you install kommander all that is required is to click on the file.

I just discovered Kommander and your script is simple and useful.

But for Cron, are you sur it will lauch updatedb at every night? I don't think so. One must instruct cron to lauch updatedb.
