 good, but

While certainly an excellent idea, i am worried about the lack of simplicity. That is to say, would there be alot of scrolling involved in order to get to the tool you want? If you have ever seen Apple iWork Pages, the inspector system is an extremely effient way of minimizing window clutter (by making a separate window) while still maintaining the intuitive nature of the interface.

Just my opinion,

 Great idea.

I think this is an amazing idea. The only problem would be letting a user know that other toolbars are available to them. If a toolbar just popped into place, a user might not know other toolbars were available. Also, some users might not know which toolbar a button was in, and get lost when trying to quickly access a feature. It's a trade-off between screen real estate and being able to find the function you need in a timely manner.

Yes - it may be a problem, This should be done wisely not to create useless thing :P

Maybe the toolbar can be divided into 2 parts: one static, and one being able to rotate. So that you can place items you need often in the first part.

 Genius!

This is a very good idea! Truly genius! Since buttons are placed in Tabs according to function similarity, I don't think finding a certain button would be that hard (you can guess in what tab it should be). However, having some sort of "partial static bar" would really speed up thing when it comes to often-used functions.

Very good idea. Usually user have 2-4 toolbars so when user have 3-4, this saves space much.

This is somehow similar as Microsoft Office 2007 but this just dont have tabs, this idea has much better idea of toolbar. Just like virtualdesktops has over normal one desktop. And XGL/AiXGL has over normal virtualdesktop :-)

I would like to see this implented... at least for Koffice!

We "cant" make tabs for Koffice because MS office already has them. But, this is possible :-)

And mayby add for here somekind toolbar picker like beryl has when you move mouse to screencorner or like that when you press alt+tab. This how user could select faster toolbar what he wants.

KDE it just must be...

 Similar Idea

Great Idea! I could see some problems with it though.

Maybe istead of "rolling" the toolbars, they could slide away (like a panel can).

Just an idea.
