Description:

A nice, clean blue version of the Ubuntu Human theme.

I've been looking high and low for a nice, clean blue version of the Ubuntu Human theme, I like the default Human theme, but not really the colour. I tried several other blue versions of the Human theme, but didn't really like any so far, they were either too light blue, or too bright/too much contrast which puts me off (as in the default Windows XP Luna theme does).

So I set of too make my own Blue Human theme, using a pleasing shade of blue, not too light, not too dark, not too high in contrast.

I used/combined several modified versions of the Tango icon theme into one, and applied my own modifications. Some of the modifications I made are:

- Gnome logout button is standard Ubuntu icon instead of the door.
- Re-added gtk-cancel, gtk-ok, gtk-apply icons from old Dapper version of Tango, which were dropped for some reason in the Tango theme in Ubuntu Edgy onwards.
- Found some unnoficial Suspend and Hibernate icons in the Tango mailing list and used those. I also set a nicer Switch User, Logout, and Turn off icon, and created my own Restart icon (slightly modified from the Ubuntu Human theme version).

This theme needs the Human theme to be present, so should be installed on Ubuntu. It uses ClearlooksAlternative for the border, which comes preinstalled on Edgy and Feisty, but I am not sure about Dapper. The theme has been tested on Edgy and Feisty.

To use, please unzip (as root) the icon set under /usr/share/icons/Ynui and the theme under /usr/share/themes/Ynui, then open the theme manager and apply.

Changelog:

v0.2 Update: Minor bugfix with menu items that have a radio button beside them, when you hover over such a menu item, the radio button turned grey. v0.2 fixes this problem.

Sorry folks, the 0.2 patch to fix radio buttons in menus from not being grey when you hover over them also affected the text when you hover over combobox menus, which became black instead of white (this is not what I intended). I've been playign around for a few hours trying to fix that, but cannot seem to fix it, so back to v0.1 it is I am afraid, unless someone else is able to help me fix it.

I only want radio buttons in menus to remain black when you hover over them, instead of go grey, but without any side effects on other elements, in this case combo box drop down menus were also affected.

I've been looking for a theme like this for so long.

So far it looks spot on to me. A good workhorse, day to day theme.

:)

Thank you! I like the original human theme but I like to have alternate colors...

Great work!
