Description:

It would be cool if totem had a "mini mode"/"no visualization mode" the picture explains it better (Mockup)

 winamp, brrr

Hey, people. Gnome already has Rhythmbox, and you easily can organize your music with it. But this mockup suggests things similar to out-of-date winamp, which is completely unusable. Just try to use library, smart playlists and filter features of Rhythmbox, and you will never remember about this poor winamp ;)

I don't think that's fair. Noone would force you to use this, and not everyone thinks as 'progressive' as you ;)

I personally can't stand Ryhtmbox or any other itunes-like player. And I'm damn sure I'm not alone with this view.

A simple program to play multimediafiles , with a clean UI, which is neither skinned nor clutters my desktop with seperate windows for everything would be something very useful to have.
For example when you have some files which are floating around and not yet sorted into whatever place you usually keep them.

Xfmedia is a fantastic example for such a simple yet powerful program, but it's for xfce and requires xfce libs, That's no big deal, but having a 'native' gnome version of something like this would be more elegant.

Always having those fancy visualisations or a black square in the gui is pretty annoying, I was already thinking I should file a bug report about this :p

Good idea having a mini-mode for Totem. I always find media players primarily for video not hiding the video-window while playing audio annoying.

And a link to the wallpaper please?
