Description:

This one introduces nothing really new in terms of ideas... I was just having fun in photoshop and I came up with this. I took kopete as an example to demonstrate my ideas on eye candy in kde 4. What are your thoughts?

I'd like to put emphasis on window style... how do you find it? Would it fit well in kde 4?

Thank you very much.

I quite like it, although I'd remove the 'file', etc. menus, like I do in kde3, but that's just a matter of CTRL+M =)

i think your mockup is just what is needed to make things more streamlined. the present situation is that kopete message windows look kinda klunky and are in a definate need of a redesign.

 Good design...

I like the design, but it doesn't look as usable as Kopete is now, especially that contact list with the huge buttons and only a handful of options. The size of the contacts would make it unusable even with my relatively small list of contacts. It looks really good, but too Gnome-like for my taste.

Don't get me wrong, though... it looks sweet. I really like what you've done with that text box. You should be working on the oxygen theme. :)
