Description:

I made an another KDE4 mockup. I got all the best ideas from this site, mixed it all and added something from myself. This interface is partially inspirated by Mac OS X, but I tried to create something new.

Let\\\'s see how do you like it.

Created in Photoshop CS.

I use KDE because i like it more than Gnome. The file finder?

Konqueror is much better looking.
Your icons borrowed from gnome?
And it looks like the non-functional file browser from gnome applications..

Sorry don't like the overall plan..

The image was well put together though.. nice work..

Icons I used are nuoveXT, got from this site.
The filefinder was made from scratch in PS.

 no go for me

No offense, but it looks like one of the pre-KDE/GNOME window managers, with a nice theme. I need a lot more functionality from my desktop than that: task bars, quickstart icons, clock, IM/mail status, notifications, volume control, device status, network access, etc. What I want from KDE 4 is a nice way to integrate all that stuff and display it nicely (rather than hiding it) with minimal clutter. It's no use having it on the desktop background either, since that's my work area, and the windows will obscure it.

Thanks for the comment. I forgot to write that's only the first version, that will have a few tweaks in future.
I'll try to put some widgets somewhere.
I'm open for suggestions.

Your file manager appears to have much in common w/ nautilus. As much as I like the look of Nautilus I've never been able to fool myself into thinking that it's model was more efficient than konquerors.

That said, I do like some of the things I see in the toolbar (hd dropdown, etc).

I'm going to vote good because I'm sure some people would like it and I think you have put alot of thought into the Idea. It's just a bit to glossy and "task oriented" for me.

I like the idea, especially the minimize idea, pretty spiffy. I also love your file browser i wish mine could look like that now!
