Description:

I have a litte sister and she hasn\'t her own PC so she uses my PC

But I hate it that she can delate all files and close programms
And I\'m to lacy to make a new acount for her

And so I think there must be a prgramm that lock Programms oder other thinks

You can see what I mean at my Screenshots

It can be also very helpful for Internet Caffes oder other Publick PCs

Sorry for my english

sorry, but this doesn't seem to me too much of a great idea. i'd fear it's just complicating kde without a real need for it.
besides, try to get more to the details: if you locked this one instance of konqueror you had, would it mean she can't launch another one? or that she can't get to the folder you locked? if the 1. one, it means she can't access her own files, either; if the 2. one, you'd have to launch konqueror instances with all your folders and lock them all.

i think adding a new user is not so much of a problem, and definitely makes things much easier.

it's call LOCK SESSION.
give her an account, then when your session is locked, she can use hers.
I agree with previous poster - added complexity when Simple Simple Simple solution exists.

yes it is, but sometimes you need more personnal solution. So, i think his idea could be the future of the actual locking.

Why do you run Postal² with WINE?

There is something in this idea (it's part of a bigger concept I think). Here rather than locking certain windows down KWin would restrict input to those programs that run with the uid of the stated user at the input devices. So...
Your sister wants to have quick access to her online emails? Start a Konqueror for user guest/sister and tell KWin input is now from user guest/sister. Switching back to another user needs the password of that user again.

Actually, It is a great Idea ,,

I faced many situations where my manager or colleague asked me for some help that is done on his pc while he is doing something away of his pc ,, but he doesn't want me to mess up with any code he is writing or even seeing it ,, but he needs me to do the another job for him ,,so he is checking me every moment to see ,, and say ,, hey " don't mess with this ",,

Our manager too prefers to do the technical work in the servers by his own ,,, so when he needs anyone to do anything on his pc , he got really afraid that someone may shut the session with the server down or mess with it ,, so it is really helpful for me ,, and my work ,,

By the way ,, there will be no time for creating a new account ,, moreover ,, the manager or my collegues ,, needs me to do jobs on their account ,, not another one ,,

I really Like this Idea ,, it won't make kde more complex or anything ,,

But I prefer to add a hiding capapility ( or We can use shading to do so ) ,,

Thanks for this great Idrea

that's why they invented USERS a few decates ago :-) It is very simple to make a new user and if you leave your computer just lock it op.

If your sister returns she can click: new session and start her own session

I voted BAD :-)
