Amarok Video Player

   0.1

Amarok Script

Score 79%
Downloads:  5103
Submitted:  Jun 24 2006

Description:

I like using Amarok for managing my podcasts but I wasn't able to play my video podcasts.

This adds a PlayVideo/Play menu item to the context menu which runs KMPlayer.

Edit the script to change KMplayer to another video player.

In deed, I didn't test it so far, but just for the idea you'll get a good from me! This is one of the tings I missed on Amarok.

Maybe you are able to write some kind of fullscreen visualization? This is second thing, missing on Amarok.

Good, goood good!

Keep up working...

I sent a request to the Amarok developers for this kind of support a while back. They agreed to allow Amarok to support video file transfers to iPod but didn't agree that video support should be included. I will be trying out this script.

Good job! It's a good idea, but I prefer Amarok to be the best at one thing (music) rather than one of the bunch do-it-all media players. But anyway, good job!!

Such a simple yet useful script. Many thanks Bono.
Just one request if I may; I am using amarok 1.4.3, this allows me to stream podcast m4v thru the playlist window (right-hand side). However, if I pre-download m4v amarok will not allow me to place it in the playlist window ("some media could not be loaded, not playable") and therefore I cannot right-click to select the script.
Is there any way you can amend the script to allow it to run (context menu) from the left-hand side podcast list rather than the right-hand side playlist window. That would be really useful.

Thanks
