Description:

I hope, it is better now, althow it did look better before that, but of course, the "original" looked also better as it was complete.

for those who like the picture the way it was (it is on the screenshot), click the screenshot 2 for full size.

The others download it normally for a picture without the towers.

 Why?

Why??? you don't have to download it... so don't try to tell others what they can have just because the subject material offends you in some way.

Everything would be possible to download ?

And is that always a bad thing? Yeah, go ahead and make some stupid comment that you feel will easily win you the argument... Go ahead, compare a pic of the WTC to child porn, or snuff films, please, since, obviously, they're the same thing....

You may consider that there must be rules for preserving liberty, just because you are not alone on this earth.

 one word more

One more time, I may be the devil for you, but please let me think that the word "nazi" should not be used as you use it.

If all and anything can be treated of "Nazi", then the word loses of its importance, its strength.
However I believe that it is not necessary that this word loses its horrible importance.

 The Penguin Idea

Is GREAT!!! But the towers sadly in the background, considering they are not there anymore, really does ruin the "Penguin of Liberty".

Re-do it with only the statue and you'll have a real winner.

I could not imagine, that the two towers would be that controverse!, but I had to put them there, without it wouldn't be recogniseable. But as some are heavyly offended by them, I will cut them out.

 It might be Art...

by Sagittarius on: Nov 4 2002

but I think you are able to express your idea deeper.

Keep the towers if you want to, but I am sure you could add something to that picture, find something that comes from you which is missing, say graphically a point of view, an emotion... or just a legend.

And thanks for I am glad to see that you, the author, can understand why this picture can be very emotional.

From my point of view, the problem comes from the context. I did not think that kdelook.org could be considered as an Art Gallery. Perhaps am I wrong ? I mean that when you are going to a picture exhibition, you know before, that you can be very shocked by the author (photograph, painter...) if that's what he wants.
I thought that it was not here such a context.

Please forgive my english.

I know this is a tough subject, I live in the states, have family in the NYC area, and have an aunt that, if she had not been ill, would have been there.

It is sometimes painful to rememebr what happened, but we cannot let ourselfs forget it.

We as those who were not directly affeced by it, owe it to those that were, to remember, and to honor.

I really agree with you

If I was very very schoked of this picture of the WTC, it was because it was :
1.- made AFTER 11th september 2001
2.- but WITHOUT any particular sign that could let think it was like nothing had happened.

And I think we cannot do like if nothing had happened.
