I think your execution was fine as far as I could see (although I didn't spend alot of time examining it.)

I'm just totally confused as to why any one would want that for a wallpaper

What in the world is "Windows(tm) Linux"?
And what is "clear" supposed to mean?
This whole wallpaper just doesn't make sense, sorry.
