Description:

It would be a great feature having the ability to write with pen or tablet on pdfs, to correct, underline, take notes, sign documents or fill forms (in this case user could select keyboard input)...

And at the end save the modified document...

One of the best ideas I've ever seen! Great, I'd love to see this implemented in KPDF. This would make "pen-mice" usefull and a big sale :-)

Hello,

I would also add highlighting the text with fluorescent colors.

just take a look at:
http://robotics.dei.unipd.it/~koral/kpdf_3-opened_annots.png
It's KPDF in 'annotations' branch (with a nice sidebar patch too)

or:
http://robotics.dei.unipd.it/~koral/KDE/screenshots/kpdf_annotate_2.png

I'm afraid I can't find other screenshots about that, but the development of the branch stalled before:
- having the handwriting filter ready (the handwriting inkscape tool was being adapted)
- having support for drawing all annotations
btw it was possible to draw on pages, thumbnails, preview and see results on them all. plus this work layered on top of the existing 'annotations' objects in Adobe PDF specifications. so it was possible to load already 'annotated' files and to add new and cooler handwriting (or stamps, effects,... :-) on top of them. the work was saved on the usual xml-along-file kpdf used to have since 0.4.

hystory: a developer had its pc burned down in early fall '05 and others didn't continue the foreport of the branch that at that time was nearly synced with HEAD, had way less GUI bugs (some already present in shipped kpdf 0.5.1 and never corrected) and some interesting features such as a custom HutNewStuff books download, a cool sidebar, the F6 annotations bar completely defined in xml & so on...
