Crosslink (CAES) - Linking apps together

A multi-client Notification Daemon.

Sorry! There haven't been many updates! My main laptop hd crashed and I lost alot of data (I do have a backup with most important data though)

Crosslink is probably going to work together with the Galago project. We are going to contact Galago soon.

NOTE: This can be seen as an extension to Knotify, because it already exists in some way, but Knotify isn't very good :)

Example: popups from Kopete are pretty ugly :)
and popups from other applications don't look like it.
They could also overlap eachother and yadi-yadi-yadi

I suggest a notification program where all the "popups"
(notifications) have the same look and animation,
ofcourse the look/animation/sound can be adjusted PER application.

In CAES control module (works through config files) you would be able to set what the default look is,
and an edited look/animation/sound per application/action you wish to use with CAES.

This can be done for alot of applications. The process will be made as easy as possible for developers.

There haven't been many updates, I know!
But there is big news.
We are going to try to make this project reality!

Independent of KDE or any desktop,
we are going to create a server called CAES (Cross Application Event Server or maybe Cross Application Event System to refer to the whole system).

This server will work together with clients to show the popups. We are going to make it very easy for developers to integrate CAES with their application.

We're still brainstorming.
But hopefully a website will be up soon enough.
