Description:

Often I close a tab I still need because I thought I had opened the link in a new tab.

In that case there should be an undo (CTRL+Z) action available to reopen the last closed tab.

yes, konqueror needs this.

you can do this in firefox, if you install the session saver extension.

 Have a look at Opera

I think opera's mechanism on this is very convenient. If you close a tab it's put into the trash and unless you don't empty it, you can always open the tab again.

well then this is some sort of temoporary history?

if you ctrl-h in firefox, and order by last visited, i think you get the same as with the opera trash can..

Yes, it's like a history. But it's implemented in such a nice way that it seems completely new.

I don't know the firefox extension, but it seems like it is something very similar.

 Opera has it as well

I had first seen this feature in the Opera browsers years back. I found it useful then, and I sure would find it very useful in Konqueror now

It would be really cool if this feature made it into Konqueror 4!

code for this has already been written. i hope this makes it to the kde3 branch, because it is crucial in my eyes. if not, it's a real shame if it doesn't make it to the kde4 branch.
