the original unmodified is a hi-res CMYK .TIFF image, I'll have to resize it to fit here.. so it won't be the "original unmodified" anymore ;)

Please could provide a resized/scaled images that looks like the original? Of course it won't be the "unmodified original" image, but I can live with that. Thank you very much for this great wallpaper!

Regards
Frank

This is an awesome wallpaper. Please provide a scaled version of the original (1280x1024 would be great), it would be very nice of you.

Thanks,

Bruno

It really would be great if you could provide the original hi-res image or at least an uncompressed 1280x1024-version.
Also your KDE-variant at 1280 would be appreciated.
I´d offer my webspace to host it, I´ve got some spare traffic.

Please, mail it to crion (at) gmx dot de

Thank you!

 grammar

Some of you people complain about your bad english, but you don't try to fix it.

Here we go,
It should be 'an "umodified"', not 'a "unmodified"'.

If the word to the left of a/an starts with a vocal sound, it should be an, if it doesent, put a.

examples

it's a car
it's an apple
it's a bike
it's an hour (it's pronounced 'our)
it's a house
it's a train
it's a nail
it's an ordinary day

--end of grammar lession--

i'm really tired of people not taking the time it takes to learn proper english.

we aren't "unmounting=umount" here. Did you make a typo?

If your are going to lecture on grammar, you should check your own comment before you post it.

In English we use an upper case i in "I'm", (as well as at the start of a new sentence, and for proper nouns.)

You also wrote:
"...if it doesent, put a."
Which should be:
"...if it doesn't, put an a."
Better yet:
"...if it does not..."

I could go on, but I am now quite bored.

Now let me pick on the foreign guy - that way I'll look reeeaaal clever...

... Know what? It pretty much makes you look like an arse instead.

I'm pretty damn certain you wouldn't be so high and mighty if you were to express yourself in German. In fact retro's English is probably at least twice as good as your German.
Oh, and judging by the number oh errors in your comment, your English probably isn't any better than his either.

--end of angry rant--

i'm really tired of people who automatically assume that everyone speaks a fluent English.

yeah well, I am fluent in english, I was brausght up that way, but spelling is usually the factor that makes me mess up..

And I am really tired of people like you who think they are smart because they can speak their first language (!!) and abuse others who make English grammar mistakes.

People like you, are insensitive, lazy, usually slow learners and hopeless when it comes to learn a foreign language or anything new for that matter. They fail to make the smallest effort to be more tolerable, yet they ask so much from others.

You are "a" awful person and it is a shame to have you on this wonderful site.

Come on, give the guy a break. I'm sure he didn't mean it to be mean, I thought it was funny myself. Now, I'm sure he understands that some people learn english as a second language.

If I'm wrong, then oops, maybe he was meaning it to be mean, but I think he was joking. Lay off please :).

I'm not entirely sure where the brutha who posted this got it from, but I've seen this exact same image somewhere else and it certainly wasn't copyrighted. Even if it was, the copyright holder (person who took the picture) would never take legal action :) (can't remember the name...hurairah or ibn-something...:S)
