As far as I know, 9.0 beta2 uses GCC 3.1, beta3 and above use GCC 3.2. I'm pretty sure they're not compatable :-)

Thanks for the Drak9 RPM -- no work and no trouble. Liquid is a real asset to KDE!

 Please, use PLF!!!!

I would just like to let you guys know that the PLF (http://plf.zarb.rg) always has the latest version of liquid, built for cooker, and whatever releases anyone runs (at the moment 8.2).

Not only that but a lot of other software, including KDE themes such as qnix, keramik, the Crystal icons (OK, I guess you could use the tarball for that), some Windows-type themes, and lot's of other interesting software (xine, mplayer etc with all the best options enabled).

If you have't been there, you are missing out.

So, please refrain from duplication of effort, instead, join the PLF and package more software ...

Btw, PLF members have notified Mosfet that RPMs will be maintained, but he still insists on not updating the mosfet page to reflect this. I have posted messages on the liquid page here, but it seems some people don't read.

Btw, it is unlikely that liquid will ever be in Mandrake, due to similarities to Aqua.

Finally, note that pixieplus is in Mandrake contribs, no need to try and compile it for 9.0.

Thx for info, so I can stop engaging on pixieplus. But one question is
still open. How can a normal user use plf, if he has no idea about it and those styles aren't included in the Mandrake distribution?
Can Mdk9 profit from this artwork somehow?

 Ask Mosfet

We (PLF) mailed Mosfet on a number of occasions to tell him that we would maintain RPMS for Mandrake, but he insists on ignoring this, and badmouthing Mandrake on his site, instead of making it easier for users to use his software by just having a link to http://plf.zarb.org

PLF does much more than just KDE themes, so we try to advertise as much as possible (which is why I am posting here, and many other places).

Anyone else who has valid content for PLF should join PLF to make one source of software that would otherwise not be appropriate (due to possible IP infringement etc) for the normal distro.

I've tried using PLF, but I can't find mosfet.

I did the urpmi -a mosfet and urpmi -a liquid to no avail.

What package should I be looking for?

Thanks

Sorry, typo above, it should be:

http://plf.zarb.org

(btw, all the software is accessible by urpmi, no need to manually download).
