Hello
Could you put back sv7 support for musepack backend (mppenc version 1.16) All media player doesn't not support sv8. Thanks

As it looks to to me, the musepack format version depends on the mppenc/mpcenc version. So if you want sv7 files, you need to download and install version 1.16 from musepack.net. Also make sure to uninstall version 1.30 or whatever you have installed to avoid mix-ups.

I did that already. I uninstalled musepack-tools (sv8 version) and put mppenc sv7 into /usr/bin/ but soundkonverter doesn't recognize it.
Even if I change the name mppenc to mpcenc (On my ArchLinux musepack sv8 is called mpcenc).

soundkonverter searches for both, mppenc and mpcenc.
could it be that mppenc is not marked as executable?
what happens if you try to call it from a terminal (just 'mppenc' - without full path)?

I feel so stupid. permission was on 750 and not 755. That's why sounkonverter could not see it. Thanks to you suggestion I checked it. Thanks a lot.
Just an another question, why did you not leave a way to check several folders for binaries or even the possibility to add some ?

It didn't seemed to be necessary since KDE already provides a way to find executables - the unix way.

Not all selected files are enqued from Dolphin

by imruska on: May 31 2012

If I select in Dolphin several files, right click -> open with soundKonverter, not all files are enqued in soundKonverter, but only about the half (2 out of 3, 2 or 3 out of 4, 4 out of 8, 15 out of 28 etc.)

openSuse 12.1, KDE 4.8.3, soundKonverter 1.6.0 (but I had had the same problem with earlier versions of KDE and soundKonverter, too.)

Hm, I can't reproduce this. (But while trying to, I was able to find another bug :) ).
Anyway, can you give me some more information?
Is it reproducible with some files or is it random?

I tried again, the folder contains 21 tracks. I highlighted them, right click, open with: soundKonverter, I choose the codec, and in the main window of soundKonverter I find only 11 tracks, and only these 11 tracks are converted. I tried with Dolphin in icon view, compact view or detailed view, each time only 11 files get selected, though each time a different selection.

I made screenshots (this time out of 6 files 4 got enqueued) perhaps it helps. https://rapidshare.com/files/1646547191/soundKonverter_bug.tar.gz

Ok, I was able to reproduce it. The bug I mentioned above was actually responsible for this, too.
It will be fixed in the next version. Until then I would suggest to use: right-click -> actions -> convert with soundkonverter.
Thanks for reporting this.

If you all need, this app can convert videos like flv, mp4 and avi to an audio file too.
I've made it every time.
Sometimes I watch a video in youtube, I download this to my pc and convert to mp3 with this beautiful application.
