Looks promising .
I've try a build in cmake of your 1.90
works nice.
In mandriva you'll need also kdemultimedia4-devel
I think I'll give it a try for packaging in mandriva when you'll release the 2.0 stable
Thx m8
Keep in touch.

Thanks for your comment.

And it would be nice to have mandriva packages.
I tried making some myself using the open build service but I couldn't get it to work.
So please let me know if you have a good .spec file and maybe we can get it to work on the open build service as well, that would be really great.

Greetings Daniel

ok soundkonverter for mandriva 2011.0 it is available on mrb :
http://mrb.mandrivausers.ro/index.php?search_for=soundkonverter&search_submit=Search

for time being only for x86_64, I'll complete the porting for i686 also.
Due the lack of missing deps on the official media I've ported all on mrb , and to install it
involve 6 media backports :
Main, contrib, reastricted, mib, mrb and edumandriva
That's why I don't advice you to build it on suse-build system , ( at least I'm not able to build it on suse-build-system )
Also my advice is to add mrb media if somebody try to install it since many royalty covered decoders are in restricted && mrb media
If you need my spec file you have the src.rpm on the above link

If you whant you can add my media in download section for mandriva.
keep in touch

Thanks for sharing with us SoundKonverter.

I found it very easy to use to rip CD to FLAC.

Maybe it would involve major effort, but would adding the capability to fetch and embed album cover art to the encoded file be considered? (guess many format do support embedding cover art, mp3, FLAC etc). I reckon it would be a very nice feature to have especially for those who use soundKonverter to rip CDs

Thanks for your comment.

It's on my todo list but currently I have very little time, so the implementation will take a while.

Cheers!

I just upgraded to version 1.2.0 on my gentoo machine, and was surprised this application has even put effort into version upgrade!

having a GUI presenting options recommending users with new optimized default! That is user-friendly without scarifying advanced options!

I can't wait when soundKonverter can pick/fetch album art, and automagically embed them to the resulting audio file when a CD is ripped!

Thanks for this! I use it heavily to transfer flac into mp3 for my mobile device. Save-able presets would be very nice IMHO.

If you go to the advanced tag when choosing your output options, you have a small save button in the lower right corner. You can use it to save the current options as a user defined profile.
Or did you have something different in mind?
