Description: This is a mockup, obviously. I tried to obtain something a bit more polished than what we can see today on our desktops. I focused on a new style (if anyone is interested to code it tell me since I can't code) and on the way a filebrowser could work. (the only artworks not by me in the pic are the icq and jabber icons, I wish to thanks their authors) License: GPL

Well, you may not like it (it's normal) but this isn't at all a Vista rip-off as seen in a couple of other mockups here lately. At least not of beta1 :)

It's great and I'm so happy to see this.

I like to suggest small improvement to the FileFinder (Just a suggesion)

FileFinder sidebar (left sidebar) can have 4 main category groups:
1. User contents (Ex: Documents, Pictures, Music..etc)
2. Media Devices (HD, Floppy, CD, DVD etc).
3. Network and Web Services
4. System Resources (Applications, settings etc)

What do you think of this?

I think that it look much more better that any KDE yet.
Why?

Because you can find anything you want easily and eyecandy is mucho importante.
And you mockup look great.
Very nice GUI! Like it ALOT!
I hope that some day kde is going to look like this =)

Hi Adrien. I've been hungry for your mockups on kde-artists.org, but this one really set it all together.
I really like the CCC (create|comm|conf) paradigm and the way you pictured the top bar.

The file browser is starting getting good, definitely some new elements but that layout will pose some constraints on flexibility and expandibility.

Thanks for setting a milestone!!!

really great idea... it combines some really nice features of other file browsers... and it seems really beautiful and usable for any joe user... also the idea of the CCC seems interesting but it needs a lot of thought on how it should be implemented properly
