Description:

LMMS aims to be a free alternative to popular (but commercial and closed- source) programs like FruityLoops/FL Studio, Cubase and Logic allowing you to produce music with your computer. This includes creation of loops, synthesizing and mixing sounds, arranging samples, having fun with your MIDI-keyboard and much more...

LMMS combines the features of a tracker-/sequencer-program and those of powerful synthesizers, samplers, effects etc. in a modern, user-friendly and easy to use graphical user-interface.

Thank you for building this lmms i am looking forward to more updates and features.

As it stands now lmms is the easyst to use and simple best music appt for Gnu/Linux.

But, thanks for doing this! Brilliant stuff there, even at 0.1.0rc1 this is looking stunning :)

I've found that, if you attempt to load a song while one is playing, lmms tends to freeze up...

In other related news: ArkLinux Dockyard-devel (the ArkLinux development repository) is now carrying LMMS :) ( http://www.arklinux.org if you're wondering )

I hope so too. Currently playing around with NI Pro-53 and other VST synths via jack-dssi-host and dssi-vst which i can access via MIDI over MusE.
Would really be awesome to be able to do the same with LMMS :)

no problem, if there's somebody out there able to write a sound-generator-plugin which uses jack/dssi-vst or whatever. I cannot make this, since I have to do enough with all the rest, so if you're interested, contact me!
