Description:

Network configurator for static IP address by using kommander.

Depends on ifconfig and route commands. Also tried to kill dhcpcd daemon which shouldn't be started.

Changelog:

Changed and enhanced by seqyitur AT kde.org. Thank you!

why are you using radiobuttons when there are no options? Are you planning on adding dhcp support?

great job on porting part of network-admin to kde. would be nice to port the rest of it too so you could have several accounts when moving laptop often from one network to another.

Haven't you seen KNetworkConf? it does all the things of network-admin but network profiles, that will be implemented in the next weeks :)

Yes its useful. But please add support to store the settings.

slackware (bsd like) stores ip address and gateway information in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf file and dns in /etc/resolv.conf

redhat (system v like) stores in /etc/sysconfig/network.

or you can also have it running in the startup script. so that you don't need to depend on the default configuration files.

just adding 'ifconfig eth0 subnet' etc. in /etc/rc.d/rc.local that would make life easy for u and us :)
