Description:

This is a joke screensaver for KDE 2.2. This is great for fooling your boss! ("Yes, sir, I've got that server upgraded like you asked for..")

Changelog:

* Fixed a problem in kcad.cpp which was preventing clean compilation. Should work better now. (my apologies for such a sloppy release!)

nice screensaver!
this will realy fool many people ;)

p.s.: it will be cool to have a "kde style" screensaver like the win2k "logon" saver, you know that jumping logo, it will be cool to have a "k desktop environment" logo as jumping screensaver ...

generally i think that kde has not enough screensavers, so every screen saver, makes the number greater.

... if you want to fool more people, be sure to put an entry in the config file (as described in README). The NT logon screen as pictured really _does_ jump around, and the hand really _does_ push the keys. It's not an exact copy of NT, but it's close enough to fool most of our bosses. ;) -dT-

....is there any way I can add it to the kcontrol in the screensavers menu? I can't find any configuration file related to it

Sorry about that. I found how to 'configure' it now... At least in my Mandrake 8.1 distribution it's just adding a new *.desktop file at: (whichever your configuration)

$(HOME)/.kde/share/applnk-mdk/.hidden/ScreenSavers

or

$(HOME)/.kde/share/applnk/.hidden/ScreenSavers

If you want to add it as root, do the same at:

/usr/share/applnk.......

I'm missing something here. I have a Red Hat 7.2 system and I've tried the applink, but I must be missing something. I'm new to KDE.

How do I install this screen saver so I can use it via the control center??

Hi there, it seems that your "NT-like" mode fails using it as screensaver. It works using the "test" option in the kcontrol menu, but it fails to display the small window once the screensaver acts (it displays only the hand).

I could test it only in the mandrake distribution, but hopefully you'll be able to reproduce the error in any distribution you use.

Keep on like that. Good work. My boss prefers me working with linux though.... :-)

I solved the above problem by restarting the KDE again at last. The problem was... who knows? Maybe the machine was to busy.
