Description:

The first screenshot shows the default dotNET configuration (what you'll get if you don't play with any configuration options).

The second screenshot shows what happens if you turn off the rounded corners.

The third screenshot shows how dotNET looks if you turn off the newfangled Pseudo3D mode. This is what you want to do if you really liked the old look of dotNET.

All of these screenshots have UseTextShadows enabled.

Changelog:

Just updating the screenshots... it's about time, I know. New stuff, soon to be released as 1.4.3. (1.4.2 was internal only, and quite buggy.)

1.4.1: Speedups with QPopupMenu stuff, bugfixes for QTabBar items, and general fixes all-around. Highly recommended.

1.4: Progressbars, menu items, and other fun stuff. Download, test, play, tell me what you think!

1.3: A whole slew of fixes now. If you really liked the way dotNET used to look and this version makes you angry, add a line containing:

Pseudo3D=false

to your ~/.qt/kstylerc file. Otherwise, enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Oh, yeah - another neat hidden feature is text shadows. Turn them on by opening up that ~/.qt/kstylerc and adding:

UseTextShadows=true

NEW:

Now you can turn off the rounded corners if you don't like them. Add the option:

RoundedCorners=false

to your ~/.qt/kstylerc and see the silly corner pixels.

 A big step

Hi

I think this theme is a step in the good direction. In my opinion, KDE really lacks credibility when talking about graphics. I mean that the DEFAULT look is way too cartoonish IMHO.

So, Ithink this theme really changes the general impression of the KDE desktop and makes people want to use it.

Now, I don't say it should replace the original theme (even if I replaced it by this one...) but be included in the official distribution.

Now, KDE lacks great icons in the same style. I'm not an artist... maybe someone can try out.

Thanks again for this.

PS: I haven't seen any "microsoft .net/whatever" screenshots but if it's too much similar, you could just try to personnalize it... I just dunno

This style is very very cool, easy readable, pretty.

Debian install help.

export KDEDIR=/usr

At least that did the trick for me.

 Red Hat

So yeah, I set the KDEDIR to what apparently is my KDR directory and I am told by the compiler that there are no KDE headers installed.

Can this (really nice) theme be used in Red Hat 7.2?

Of course you can use this style in RedHat! If you haven't yet, visit the homepage and click the link for the RPMs from Ben.

How about the kde3/qt3 port. How is it going? Do you plan to put it on a cvs server ? I think it would be a very good ideea to include it into kde3 release.

 Qt3 version : status

Well, the style has been ported to Qt3 and at this point, it's pretty complete. I'm still fixing bugs, of course, but I'm very impressed by the new Qt3 Style API, and dotNET is now in the kdeartwork/styles CVS module.

I'm also considering renaming it to dotORG, but that's something that I'll think about later on.

For the adventurous, if you don't already, you can hang out on irc.openprojects.net, in #kde, and chances are pretty good that you'll catch me in there.

Very nice style .. I'm a VS.net user and I like the new interface (though a bit slow sometimes) .. I think I'll appreciate this style .. still waiting for KDE3 beta to compile .. *yawn*.

Keep up the good work buddy .. I'll let you know if I have any suggestions.
