Description:

IKons 0.5 Pro is a hi-color icon theme. This is the professional edition, which means that it doesn't contain all the icons (e.g. the rocket icon isn't included). If you want the full iKons icon theme, you should download iKons 0.5 Home edition.

This release includes 16x16 icons, 22x22 icons, 32x32 icons, 48x48 icons and 64x64 icons for KDE, a KDE icon theme that can be used with the Control Center, as well as a README file that tells you how to install and alter this icon theme.

Changelog:

* Lots of new icons (menu icons, toolbar icons, etc.)
* improved folder icons
* more consistent icons

Too Cartoonish? Noo!

If you think KDE looks too cartoonish (which I think looks REALLY GREAT!) than you definately DON'T want to see the babyface look of Windows XP which I think definately looks like a childs playroom. Keep on the awesome works with the wonderful KDE icons!

.... what I meant. I generally really like this set of Icons, but there are certain icons that do not fit the purposes for a proffesional look.

I NEVER said either that M$'s XP looked ok. I personally feel that the XP's look is horrible, and as soon as I have a screenshot of it I feel like getting "gimp" and changing it.

Hope this clarifies a bit....

M$ XP look is for kindergarten. Its apparent they tried to emulate linux GUI look but ended making it downright gaudy!
And then there's some vendor called stardock which claims to give windoze new skins...all of them made my skin creep for sure!!!

No... I'd say they tried to emulate the MacOS X interface... either way, it still looks like a Playskool toy.

I've made some new toolbar icons. You can find them on the 'iKons' website in the screenshot section.
I would like to hear from you which toolbar icons you like most (the old toolbar icons of iKons 0.4.1 or the new toolbar icons).

The new ones look well better (appart from the refresh button which looks far to crunched up. As for suggestions, the KDE menu button looks a bit darker than it should and the cog application one looks a little bit undifined. As for extra icons, I think a few for the different image types (the ones which distribute with KDE are a bit messy) and maybe something for the dreaded dll files. A virtualy perfect scheme otherwise. Nice job!!! (Reminds me of Preemo sceme by Scrow)

This is an absolutely top icon theme - the only
thing i can see wrong with it is that the circular navigation icons in Konqueror aren't smooth around the edges - perhaps anti-aliasing would help? Otherwise excellent, but 'til it's fixed, i'll be using my normal icon scheme.
