Description:

Lipstik is a fast and clean style for KDE3 with many options to tune your desktop look.

Just try it! :)

INSTALLATION : Please read the INSTALL file.

CONFIGURATION : You can find many options in the style's configuration panel. Go to Settings/Appearance & Themes/Style and click on the 'configure' button.

BUGS : Read the BUGS file; if the issue is not reported, post a comment below, I'll try to read them often.

DEBUG TRACE : If you have a debug trace, dont post it here; send it to me via email.

Lipstik now has a home page, go check it out!

Have fun!

Changelog:

---01/10/2007---
2.2.3 : For my PC-BSD friends...
--Add a configurable active tab highlight color.
--PC-BSD rocks! Try it!

---17/02/2007---
2.2.2 : After one year...
--Just a repackaging of the special Debian version.
--Updated the spec file for Fedora Core 6, thanks to Pramod Venugopal.
--Lipstik now has a home page (http://poplix.homelinux.com/lipstik).

...I have a new version (2.3) locally but it will need some more testing before I release it; Lipstik is still not dead after all ;)

Got it what ???????/
Because I have the same error:
Would you please explain what you done to make it work ????

Thanx
Bretzel

P.S.: I know the missing .moc is QT::QObject meta compiler issue but I dunno why it is not generated ...

lipstikconf.cpp:479:27: lipstikconf.moc: No such file or directory

I got the same thing in SuSE 9.2 Pro.

Got it too :-)

On the source subdirs there are style and style/config subdir:

In the style dir do:
moc -o lipstik.moc lipstik.h
And then inthe styel/config subdir do
moc -o lipstikconf.moc lipstikconf.h

return in the root sourcedir ( where ./configure is located )

redo make && make install ( normally as root if you install as system wide )

good luck,
Bretzel

P.S.: I really dunno why "moc" isn't invoked on those files...
To the Author: can you check it please ?

 Nearly perfect!

A couple of possible options:

The highlight on the scrollbar handle makes it look like it bulges towards the centre. Would it be possible to have an option to paint the gradient in the opposite direction (L-R), ala plastik, instead of top to bottom?

An option for no gradients on highlighting and the menu stripe?

An option to draw checkboxes as ticks instead of crosses? I know the evil empire(tm) does this, but it is more accurate in a way (a cross means no!), so it would be a nice option.

Fantastic work by the way. I've mucked about a bit with some kde-look stuff and it's hard work (for me anyway!)

 same probs as in .91

I'll just copy paste:

a) the stripe does not appear when Menu Effect is set to Translucent
b) choosing a color for the stripe is applied without a gradient (is this the
desired behaviour?)

Otherwise, a great desktop improvement.

a : I know, but i dont have a clue why for now.

b : The gradient is really subtle but its there.

 Dots

Is it just me or are the dots on the scrollbar back to being off center again? It looks to me like they are shifted to the left. Love this theme. Love your work. Thanks!

Oddly, they are uncentered only in kstyle control module as far as i can see with my old 17" crt.
