if you edit the file in src/kktemplate/kktthumbnailview.h on line 31,
change this:
KKTThumbnailView::KKTThumbnailView( QWidget* parent = 0, const char* name = 0 );

to this:

KKTThumbnailView( QWidget* parent = 0, const char* name = 0 );

This makes it install for me on SUSE 10.2.

However when I open kreetingkard, it complains that it cannot open folders within $HOME, and I don't understand why it's trying to open them.

if you have trouble downloading the rpm, just replace the 110mb.com with 911mb.com

I really enjoyed using kreetingkard before, but now it seems a little buggy. The compile error mentioned above for example or kreetingkard trying to open all directories under /home/user.

Please fix these minor issues and update your great app. Thanks a lot.

The reason for the error messages is that kreetingkard is looking for templates. When it can't find them, it gives the error message. Installing kreetingkard_templates will make the error messages go away.

With that said, though, I think that kreetingkard would exhibit better behavior if it gave a warning that it can't find templates in either /usr/share/apps/kreetingkard/templates or ~/.kde/share/apps/kreetingkard/templates than the present behavior.

Given that this program hasn't been updated in about 2 years, I don't expect the author to do anything about this any time soon. Then again, we might be pleasantly surprised.
