 Actual network bandwidth

If you could make this grab the actual bandwidth used by the network from the router running dd-wrt or tomato, that would be great.

I don't have a router running dd-wrt or tomato, so I wouldn't know how to test it.

 Great Start!!

by dovidhalevi on: Jan 18 2016

A couple of notes:
1. Program bar, system bar, objects are too wide, even if I do not show the arrows and units. Would prefer to fit this in a single "slot," and a somewhat smaller font and less space would do it. Do not need units like "Kib" --"K" is enough.
2. System bar object is misplaced, over-painting the one to its right.

Could you please provide some screenshots, plus I don't know what you mean by "slot".

How do I attach it?

I mean slot is a square area for single-icon.

You can't, either upload it somewhere or send me an email to hessijames at gmail.

I fixed some layout problems, could you update to version 1.1 and check again?

See no change, no font size option. Are you sure the posted 1.1 file is really the new one?

Yes, it's the correct version. It's probably a caching problem, try logging in again.

After reboot and obviously new log in, there is still no change, no font option.

Built it from GIT. Got new options.

Font option has no effect on system tray or panels.
System tray placement still in error.
Again, B,K,M,G are sufficient.

I really liked it. It could be great if it could be extended to show also cpu, memory and disk usage, a bit like menumeters on another platform.

Thank you, but there are many other system monitoring widgets out there, this is supposed to be only for network monitoring.

I understand, but neither of the other widgets don't fit as well as yours on a panel.

Not working on fresh Arch Linux KDE5 install

 by Magnum44 on: Jun 2 2016

Hi, first of all, nice job!!!

Secondly, I recently installed Arch Linux with KDE5.22 and I load the plasmoid but I get no upstream or downstream information. However if I leave the mouse over it, it displays the network usage correctly.

I just tired it with an up-to-date antergos, no problems there.
Could it be a display driver issue?
Does the digital clock applet work?
Can you describe the problem in more detail (maybe provide screen-shots?).
