 support for PURtel?

by MartinDeppe on: Nov 5 2004

Score 50%

Thank you for building kphone, I really appreciate all these guys who spend their time to make live easier and less expensive (especially these days).

But my attempt to use kphone wasn't successfull yet: with V4.04, trying to connect to my account at PURtel I am only getting "Registration failed: forbidden".

Does anybody know why and hopefully has a solution for it?

Many thanks in advance.
Martin

 Setup a new account

by anonymous on: Nov 5 2004

One way Kphone could be greatly improved is to auto-setup a new account for any new installation via SIPphone's plug-n-dial. See: http://www.plugndial.com Many other software and hardware devices support plug-n-dial and it makes the product much more usable since users don't have to configure at all.

This open standard is 100% free and allows a user to create an account all within Kphone and all the settings are configured so they can immediately begin calling.

There is other commercial software like xten that uses it as well as other open source software like Phonegaim see: http://www.phonegaim.com

It's free to implement and would really help Kphone be a better product.

Just a suggestion.

Hi Michael,

I never expected you to comment on KDE-apps.org :) and I was nicely surprised. I think that if you have some suggestions for the developers you contact them directly as not all of them are reading the comments on these webpages.

Thanks for your support!

Kind regards,

Fabrice

 ALSA support?

When will KPhone have full ALSA support? I need it for both, playback and capture very urgently. OSS emulation is crap, because I have dmix/dsnoop running.

Would be really great!

minimazing to tray without taskbar entry would be nice.
Polish fonts are not good for example "available" or "connected" in polish don't contain proper polish characters
