Description:

Hi,
Theme is written for gtk 3.10.
Thx to some persons for reporting bugs. It is now stable. The theme is also now part of noobslab themes.

I\'ve tried to keep it close to ambiance. I don\'t have the time for extensive testing, but it is bug free on code level. Thx to some persons all bugs schould be fixed now. Thank you all so much!!!! If you find any bugs please comment. This theme has its own gtk3 code. The code parts are now mostly in ambinace themes order.

The goal is to keep it as close as possible to ambiance on the code base with the same look as the original cupertino. If that is`t possible for a element i will prefer the look of cupertino.

Can you commnet if newe nautilus lok is better than previous one ?. Did now use another look.

Changelog:

v.0.0.0.5 willl fix some issues. will be out when noobslab mac themes are updated. expect that update really soon.
v.0.0.4 nautilus fix nautilus sidebar. Please provide screenshots for another look.
v.0.0.4 fix nemo sidebar and evolution issue
v.0.0.3 Theme can now be considered as stable.Various bugfixes.
v.0.0.2 added synaptic suuport. fixed some unity released issues.

V 0.03 bug under Evolution in Fedora 20

 by ed209ocp on: Jun 22 2014

Score 50%

Fedora 20, gnome-shell 3.10, evolution 3.10

Selecting a message in Evolution messages turns
the line to be invisible: white text and gray background, instead of a blue line evidencing selected message.

 borders..

Overall a really nice effort, but I find the very dark borders around breadcrumbs, etc, to be really odd and off-putting.
The original theme did not have them. Is that on purpose? And how would I get rid of it?
Thanks.

hi,
send me screenshot and i'll fix it. is the border color to dark ? or is it another thing.
breadcrumbs for nemo would be defined soon.

without screenshots and exact program versions i can't help you.

So I run Ubuntu 13.04, Unity, Gnome 3.10.

As you can see

http://i.imgur.com/8rs7mpA.png?1

the breadcrumb borders (Nautilus) look like thin dark lines, I'm pretty sure that's not what the original Gnome Cupertino had, and plus, if you look at the corners, you'll see like little circles..? I'm pretty sure this is not rendering properly for some reason.
Thanks.

Ah you mean that bug . No Problem. A simple screen helps a lot sometimes XD.
It was an even bigger bug before caused by the way Ubuntu standard theme ambiance is written.

I fixed it and applied the fix of an darker theme. I`ll round and lighten the borders right tommorow no problem. Is there any other bug left?

 Nautilus

by borish on: Jul 2 2014

Nautilus looks better now. But it looks even better with Mbuntu-X, available from Mbuntu http://www.noobslab.com/2014/04/macbuntu-1404-pack-is-released.html

http://oi58.tinypic.com/111nlsp.jpg

Both gnome-cupertino and MBuntu-X don't get the borders right for Nautilus and Tweak-Tool. Mbuntu-Zukimac does get them right, but this theme doesn't really look like a Mac. Maybe you can use the border code from Mbuntu-Zukimac.

hi,
do you have screenshots of the wanted end result?.

i did the porting of the other theme to 14.04 too and in this case i don't wanna simply copy code. do you know screenshots of finder or an window blinds theme that looks right?or an screenshot of original theme when nautilus is working.

that would help me more . normally its only. copy code to change look, but this time it isn't simple like that.

I'd have to create a mock up for that. What I mean is this inner look of Nautilus and Tweak-Tool (that's Mbuntu-X)

http://oi58.tinypic.com/111nlsp.jpg

combined with these rounded and shaded borders (that's Mbuntu-Zukimac)

Gtk3.12 developpment is not so fast progressing. Will load gtk3..12 to my virtualbox 14.04 tomorrow.

So please be patient a litlle bit longer but not much.

http://pastebin.com/uUm9GBAw .

Do name its content as header-bar.css and overwrite it.

I did exclude all header-bar definitions from standard css file. so you won't find any nautilus toll/headerbar classes there.

I've seen that you've packed a shell theme with it. Zukitwo Cupertino is a shell theme that looks even better with gnome-cupertino.

What Os are you using.??
Theme is for ubuntu or mint btw. Please Send me a screenshot in a pm on gnome-look. Please not as comment. As long as gtk3.12 is not more different from gtk3.10 than .wba or .msstyles there isn't a big problem .

Sry for the long awaited missing nautilus patch. Itll be released on 20th of this month this time for sure.

I think they needs SVGs or vector images as they've added support for retina screens.
