Description:

Hi,
Theme is written for gtk 3.10.
Thx to some persons for reporting bugs. It is now stable. The theme is also now part of noobslab themes.

I\'ve tried to keep it close to ambiance. I don\'t have the time for extensive testing, but it is bug free on code level. Thx to some persons all bugs schould be fixed now. Thank you all so much!!!! If you find any bugs please comment. This theme has its own gtk3 code. The code parts are now mostly in ambinace themes order.

The goal is to keep it as close as possible to ambiance on the code base with the same look as the original cupertino. If that is`t possible for a element i will prefer the look of cupertino.

Can you commnet if newe nautilus lok is better than previous one ?. Did now use another look.

Changelog:

v.0.0.0.5 willl fix some issues. will be out when noobslab mac themes are updated. expect that update really soon.
v.0.0.4 nautilus fix nautilus sidebar. Please provide screenshots for another look.
v.0.0.4 fix nemo sidebar and evolution issue
v.0.0.3 Theme can now be considered as stable.Various bugfixes.
v.0.0.2 added synaptic suuport. fixed some unity released issues.

Awesome. The old Gnome-Cupertino doesn't look right in Ubuntu 14.04.

First bug I'll report: Try running Synaptic. Look at the Quick Filter.

GtkWindow > GtkVBox > .dock,
GtkWindow > GtkVBox > .dock > GtkHBox > GtkToolbar

has to have same background as .primary-toolbar.
bug is inside synaptic btw.
i will release a new version on this theme site on gnome-look.org soon.

fixed. you can report next isue if you find one.
This theme has the problem that original gtk2 and gtk3 looked so much different sometimes. Perhaps i`ll change some elements to gtk2 look in future.

Fix confirmed... well, "work around" (since the "real" bug is in Synaptic) confirmed.

 Doesn't work for Ubuntu-Gnome 14.04

After unpacking the theme to ~/.themes, logging out & logging in, I can select Gnome-Cupertino as Gtk+-Theme in Tweak Tool, but not as window theme. Therefore, the window title bars and buttons remain unchanged.

The windows of nautilus and tweak-tool have no shadows. There's another OS-X theme for 14.04, Mbuntu, which has the same problem.

The scrollbars and the header bars of firefox look wrong.

The instructions in readme.txt don't apply any longer.

Use Ubuntu-Gnome live on USB to verify.

Hi,
my email addres is bluedxca93@googlemail.com

I did found the first error.
You have to copy it to /usr/share/themes . Otherwise gnome-tweak tool won`t recognize theme.

Or
Set it up via dconf-edtitor org>gnome>desktop>wm> preferences i think. May work too for ./~ (local).

also you have to directly log out after setting theme and then relogin.

Does this looks better? : http://tinypic.com/r/qn7hps/8

Firefox needs its own (persona??) theme. Loads toolbar look as menubar bbackground bitmap. Thats is a bug in firefox.
p.ex https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/solid-grey/

https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/grey-gradient/

 Differences to Gnome-Cupertino

by borish on: Jun 6 2014

I've noticed two differences to Gnome-Cupertino (the one for Gnome 3.6):
1. Firefox and its dialogs (eg preferences) and the scrollbar look like Windows 2000.

2. The tab bar in Terminal and Gedit look different.

3. Nautilus icons and breadcrumb have different color and shape. Also, something is wrong with the breadcrumb: Open a directory and move the mouse to the breadcrumb. It changes its shape to round, but the border remains cornered.

Yes, you are right, now it works. You should mention the dependence on murrine.

yeah,
there are still things to update.
but i'll add that in description too. murrine and pixbuf are so often needed by gtk that i forget to mention them sometimes in descriptions.

 Sidebar colors

by borish on: Jun 6 2014

The sidebar in Nemo should have the same color as in Finder http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2470
or be white, as the other file dialogs.

hi,
will post patch soon here. but that won' t update the theme.
regarding nemo breadcrumbs: they will be defined soon. i'll remain tabs in gtk3 as they are now. changes would make it only bad.

best regards
