     A minor issue with HP Device Manager

    I've come across with a minor issue in HP Device Manager using DeLorean-Dark-3.10 as seen in this screenshot: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39189022/DeloreanDark-3.10-HP.png
    The last two ("Print Settings" and "Printer Control") tabs are OK, but all text in the first three ("Actions", "Status", "Supplies") tabs are dark on dark bgcolor (plus there are white areas as seen between and around rows in the first "Actions" tab only)

    I have a failing HD and the HP app won't even load. Firstly it looks like a poorly designed app, and Secondly I can only think of one possible fix. Open the gtk2.0/gtkrc go to line #3191 and add Quote:
    bg[NORMAL]="#161616"
    base[NORMAL]="#161616"
    fg[NORMAL]="#cdcdcd"
    text[NORMAL]="#dbdbdb"

    These are the only possibilities I can think of.

    Thanks, but it didn't work; never mind. You're right about this app. It's also quite useless anyway. As I don't really need it to use my printer, I've decided to install it (and have less clutter) anyway ;-)

    Really good job. I like it so much! But one littel problem, the Nautilusbackground, comes and go away. For example, when i change the icontheme, the background comes, when i close nautilus and reopen it, the background is gone. ;(

    Nautilus drawing the (metal)image file on the desktop is a known bug. The theme comes with a workaround, unfortunately it doesn't work 100%. The only thing to do is restart Nautilus just as you have been.
    Cheers!

I have testet the string "NautilusWindow * {background-color: gray;}" in some css-sheets from you but this does not work, i found this information here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/252145/how-can-i-conditionally-change-the-nautilus-background-color but... i'am not a coder, so i need a little help... or must a change the backround for everything?

    Best regards

    To change that open the gtk-widgets.css
    around Quote:
    line #4857 change the 'background-color: @theme_unfocused_base_color;'
    Line #4937 again change the 'background-color'.
    Line #8488 change 'background-color'.
    Line # 8443 change 'background-color'.

    You may also wish to change the corresponding ':backdrop' colors.
    Hope this helps.

    gnome-applications.css: background-color: #626262;

    The fist line had an nice effect (thanks endbyte), then i've changed all other lines to #000000, but there was no effect. Maybe the gnome3 themeengine is really a little bit buggy, but ok, i can live with that.

    Thanks and best regards.

    sorry to intrude BOOSPY me if you want to change the background color of the item you just have to edit the acrhivo "gtk-main.css" in this line: @ define-colored theme_bg_color # 2c2c2c;, changes color as you wish for your if you want, test if it works, but rather think you're using gnome 3.12.2 and it is well known that this has even more errors such as the transparent background, delorean issues in the use and function gnome-flashback to perfection, luck !!!!
