Description:

Delorean-Dark-3.8 is a highly polished glass and metal theme showcased within dramatic contrasts.
Delorean-Dark-3.10 is designed to be sleek and less complicated than its previous incarnation. It's unfocused state resembles a pencil sketch, while its focused state sports multi-toned metallic surfaces.
DeLorean-Dark-3.12 includes two versions Light and Dark. It resembles 3.8. And has many of its own special features, including round menu buttons.

Installation:
Information can be viewed on download page.

  • Ubuntu 14.04/14.10
    sudo add-apt repository ppa:noobslab/themes
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install delorean-dark-3.12
    or
    sudo apt-get install delorean-dark-3.10

    PPA is available with http://www.noobslab.com


    • Give DeLorean a test drive; you deserve it!

     Love it even if tabs are too dark

    I just love this theme! It's subtle for the most part, nice and dark greys which i love and the purple is just perfect!

    My only negative is that i think that the tabs and tab panels are too dark. If you look at the sound settings in gnome 3.8 it's just too dark. It makes the panels and tabs look like and afterthought without a smoother transition, especially since the shine on the tops of the tabs looks more intense than on other buttons.

    But i just love it other than that, and can't wait to see what's next. It's my theme for the foreseeable future. The window decorations are nice and thin so they don't interfere with my tiling plugin too much either.

    Any chance of a chrome theme to match the purple version of the gtk3 theme?

    As a followup, i note that the chrome theme uses the same carbon weave (checker board) for the tabs, which matches the window decorations. I'd love to see the tabs in gtk 3 apps match that and for the tab panel to be lighter.

    First I would like to say Thank You. I do appreciate your critiques and suggestions. I am sure you understand how easy it is to see ones own work through a tunnel. I will take your suggestions to mind for 3.10. The 3.8 version is frozen except for minor fixes.
    BTW...I had considered something similar to your tab idea. It proved to be a design nightmare for me at that time. But agreed, I would look cool!

    tried on ubuntu 12.04 lts, is it normal, is it because im not on 13.04 or 13.10?

    Type this into terminal: 
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:killhellokitty/themes.ppa
    
sudo apt-get update && apt-get install delorean-dark-themes-3.8

    You may need to try an earlier version ie delorean-dark-3.6 or delorean-dark-3.4. Im not sure what versions work on Ubuntu 12.04.

    still not working, thanks anyway for your help, i've installed your theme from noobslab and its ok, working fine and beautiful, a little bit heavy on my pentium D with only 2gb of ram but worth it, still a pity because you had a bunch of other theme included but anyway we can say its not working on 12.04 lts.

    I checked, and Kali is built on Debian Wheezy which uses Gnome3.4
    The two themes on this page use Gnome3.8 and Gnome3.10 respectively.
    Sorry these themes won't work for you. Look for Gnome3.4 compatible themes.
