 Mandrake?

by simonj on: May 25 2002

Score 50%

Pleeeeeease can we have a Mandrake 8.2 RPM, as soon as I upgraded to KDE 3.0 I installed Mosfet 0.9.3, but would like to upgrade.

I'll try this on my RH7.3 box though.

I presume this won't work on MDK8.2?

Cheers ;o)

Also, I might upgrade Mandrake 8.2 to KDE 3.0.1, so any chances of an RPM? ;o)

It looks like a bad download. Download directly from my site:

 Tabs need more contr

by aaronw on: Jun 23 2002

I really like Liquid except that it is not
easy for me to see which tab or button is
selected (i.e. in a konsole session). There needs to be some way to adjust or increase the contrast between selected and unselected buttons and tabs.

One other thing is that in the Liquid window decoration there is no help button (unlike many other styles).

Other than that, I love liquid.

 Found button contras

I retract my comments about lack of contrast. I had changed the color scheme back to the KDE default. I found it rather confusing to change the button color and think that in general the KDE control center could use a lot of cleaning up.

On my Linux box I am running a combination of Liquid and Keramik and am quite pleased with the results.

 MDK Error

by yesterday on: Jul 13 2002

Score 50%

Hey, I'm using MDK 8.2/KDE 3.0.2 but I've been getting the following error since earlier versions of KDE3:

There was an error loading the module.

The diagnostics is:
/opt/kde3/lib/libkcm_liquid.so: undefined symbol: _ZN7QWidgetSeventEP6QEvent

Please offer any insight on this error.

Thx,
Yesterday

It might be helpful to note that this error occurs when trying to open to configuration module from the KDE Control Center

 Had similar problem

by gibbsie on: Aug 3 2002

I had a similar problem under Mandrake 8.2. Here's what I done:

Upgraded system to KDE 3.0.2 (including ALL dependancies)

Ensured env var's were present for KDEDIR and KDE was in the PATH

For High Perf Liquid, I then done a (after unpacking the source): ./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3
make
make install

This has install Liquid fine, although transparency for the KDE Kicker menu has been disabled :-(

Sidenote: Anyone know how to get this working under Mandrake 8.2?

Anyhow mate, hope this helps.

 Got menu working

Confirm it all works under Mandrake 8.2 (via compiling) after getting the menu transparency working on the KDE kicker ... who forgot to restart their X session before commenting? *laughs* Oops ;-)
